Hoi An is an ancient port town on Thu Bon River, dating back from the 15th to the 19th century. The former trading pot is exceptionally well-preserved; thus, it has become the most graceful and atmospheric town in the country.
The city centre is a great place for visitors to have their clothes made by skillful tailors or to take striking pictures for their memories. The buildings reflect the combined unique heritage of Hoi An, from Japanese merchant houses, Chinese temples to ancient local tea warehouses. Nothing beats a nice walk around the streets of this ancient town to see the traditional houses, the old temples and try the lovely local dishes.
